What is Reiki?

Reiki is a holistic healing method that uses the universal energy to support balance and promote overall health. This practice works on the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic levels, helping to restore the natural harmony of the self.

The word Reiki comes from Japanese and means “universal life energy.” During a session, the practitioner channels this energy through the laying on of hands, with the intention of helping the person release tension, find inner calm, and stimulate their natural self-healing abilities.

How Does Reiki work?

At the beginning of each session, there is time set aside for discussion so that you can explain why you have come and what your intentions are. This allows these elements to be incorporated into the treatment in a personalized way.

After the session, we also take a moment to share your feelings and I give you recommendations to accompany you on the rest of your journey.

During the treatment, I receive images and messages related to different areas of your body. I then communicate these to you without interpreting them, as your mind will know how to give them the right meaning.

Reiki works intelligently, where it needs to intervene.

This is why the sensations can vary from one session to another, depending on your needs at the time.

What can I expect during a reiki session?

How can I prepare for my session?

You will remain fully clothed, lying comfortably on a massage table. I will place my hands lightly on or just above (depending on your preference) different parts of your body to allow the energy to flow. Many clients describe sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep calm, but each experience is unique.

You don't need to have any particular beliefs for Reiki to be beneficial. Reiki works on your body's energy, regardless of your personal beliefs. However, an open mind can help you relax and get the most out of the session.

Wear comfortable clothing and avoid heavy meals or alcohol before your appointment. You can also set an intention for your session, something you would like to release, invite, or focus on.

How will I feel afterwards?

Most people leave feeling calm, refreshed, and lighter. Sometimes emotions may surface, or you may feel particularly tired—both of these reactions are normal and indicate that your body is assimilating the energy. Drinking water and resting if necessary can help you integrate the effects.

will I need?

It depends on your needs and goals. Some clients come for a single session to relax, while others book regular sessions to receive ongoing support with stress, emotional healing, or personal development. We can discuss together what works best for you.
